Mäci trades hamburgers for good grades

Is it a marketing, sales or a witty corporate sponsorship/PR idea??? A Mc Donald's in Florida cooperates with the county school board and gives children with good grades (As, Bs) or very few absent days Happy Meals for free (New York Times article). So now is the time where even the SMART kids in the States are getting fat!
