the coolest christmas present ever

The last couple of weeks have been frustrating, annoying and nerveracking (I am out of suitable adjectives *g*) due to the job-hunt in the States. Not a single company seemed to like what I had to offer - there was always something missing: Spanish, economics knowledge, more agency experience...
BUT: YESTERDAY I GOT A TRAINEESHIP IN NEW YORK CITY!!! Starting (hopefully) February 2008, I am gonna support a NYC communications agency for a whole year (wohoo, I'm gonna be in the States for the presidential election!). Their core business: Lifestyle marketing and communications for wines, spirits and corporate clients. Good news number 2: They do pay a little. Good news number 3: The German marketing trainee from two years ago now works there as a full-time employee, so who knows...
So now I have to apply for my visa, look up flight connections, get an insurance, find a place to stay where I don't get robbed, raped or murdered in a heartbeat, win in the lottery to pay for all the organizational stuff, discuss what's going to happen to my place in the Steyrergasse and so on and so on. But I am not complaining!!! NEW YORK, I LOVE YOU!!!
