Tatort: Christmas break

After a shameful absence from the blogger's world (can you believe it? I had better things to do ;o) it's about time to look back and sum up my christmas break:
Dec 23rd: Brandon arrived with a 4 hour delay after a 24 hours trip - the cure: Glühwein at Hautplatz and fish and chips at Flann O' Brian :o)
Dec 24th: Christmas and a WHOLE lot of food.
Dec 25th: done N O T H I N G - didn't know that not moving and staying in bed all day can be really stressful
Dec 26th: trip to Bad Blumau and checking out the local bar scene - result: a pretty crappy place next to an OMV-gas station in a village called "Kleinsteinbach"
Dec 27th: sauna, jacuzzi, hot springs and steam bath joy at Bad Blumau - kinda crowded, but really beautiful.
between Dec 28th and Dec 30th: running sushi at Eat Asia food (new place at Jakominiplatz, highly recommended by me!!!) with Angi and Stephan, poker night with incredible Cuba Libre's at Angi's place (mmmh, Angi brought a 7-year-old rum back from Cuba) and cocktails with Lia and Peter at Pilar.
Dec 31st: Celebrating my niece's 3rd birthday with a delicious fondue and having Sandra and James over for Caipirinhas, Glühwein and Prosecco. Old, but always a good game: Activity. Later watching the fireworks from Karmeliterplatz and celebrating 2008 at the Schauspielhaus. How the night ended for me: With a nap on my bathroom floor (thanks to my caring boyfriend I woke up in my bed, but before he helped me getting there he took some embarassing pictures *g* ).

Movies watched over the holidays:
- Pirates of the Carribean 3 (I still like the first one best)
- Bobby
- Last Samurai
- Walk the line
- Brokeback mountain
- A princess bride

Resolutions for 2008: Finding a nice place to stay in New York, finding a cheap flight, not gaining weight in the homeland of SuperSizeMe and giving my best at the new workplace!
