I am back, babes

After an exhausting thesis writing summer, a successful graduation aaand a transatlantic flight I am reopening my 'digital crib' for you again: to keep in touch, to practice my English and to keep track of my weeks here in Maryland, hunting for a job. Comments, questions and complaints not just allowed, but highly appreciated :o)

Time for some pictures and less talking...

After saying goodbye to my mom I had an awesome 8.5 hours transatlantic flight. The only annnoying thing: queuing in the line before the final security control in Washington - about 200 people and me had to wait for ages in the 'non US citizen line' to be controlled by one of 15 officers whereas the Americans could pass one of the 2 (!!) officers for American citizen in no time...

Awesome reunion with my math teacher - no comment on details ;o) Didn't see much of his house the first weekend 'cause we were house- and dogsitting at Brandon's coworker's place. Three dogs, a lot of movies, cooking and relaxing...

Seeing Elizabeth again - Brandon's best female buddy down here. She is so much fun - and will take me shopping (wohoo)! As she is also the cheerleading coach of La Plata Highschool and has a big county competition next week, I might be able to see a whole bunch of cheerleaders going crazy!

Visiting an Amish farmer's market on the weekend - awesome homemade food by the guys who don't use electricity and dress like the 1900s. Funny detail: On our way there we passed a couple of horse carriages next to us on the highway - if the Amish drivers got to the market in time??? I dunno...
